Brenna, William Daniel, 76, Beaverdale, passed away July 14, 2024 at UPMC - Altoona Hospital. Born April 11, 1948 in Beaverdale, the son of John and Irene (Boyle) Brenna. Deceased family members include his parents and brother, John Brenna. It took three marriage proposals but Dan finally married Julie (Letzo) Brenna, and they spent 55 happy years of marriage. Dan and Julie, to this day, always kissed before leaving each other and still held hands wherever they were out together. He is also survived by sons, Danny Brenna and wife, Rebekah; and Scott Brenna. He will be sadly missed by his grandsons, Austin and Cameron; and great grandchildren, Kori and Alister. Brother of, Joan, wife of Irvin Miller; Audrey, wife of John Chapman; and Sharon, wife of Dennis Armstrong. Formerly employed by New Florence mine # 2 and retired from Forest Hills School District in the maintenance department. Avid hunter and fisherman and Life Member of Dunlo Rod and Gun Club where he served as vice president and help raise fish. Friends received from 2-8 p.m., Wednesday at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Father James Spontak, officiating. Committal will be Saint Mary's Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Beaverdale. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation helping homeless and disabled veterans.
