Walter "Wally" Orlosky

Orlosky, Walter "Wally" 77, Portage, died Oct. 28, 2025 at home. Born May 21, 1948 in Johnstown the son of John F. and Mary (Sliko) Orlosky. Deceased family members include his parents and brother, Richard Orlosky. Survived by loving wife of 49 years, Linda (Cunningham) Orlosky and brother, Francis Orlosky married to the former Janet Shevock. He will be sadly missed by his nephew John (Linda Pandelies) Orlosky and children Allison, Michael, and Andrew; niece Sherri (Joseph) Haigh and their children Anna, Teresa, Patrick, Danny and Mary; niece Amy (Tim) Sceurman and her children, Spencer and Ferris; and niece Lisa Krisay and fiancee, Dan DeBalli. Also survived by sister in law, Nancy Cunningham and dear friends and neighbors Frank and Julie Krause and Rosemary Raptosh. Wally is a 1966 graduate of Bishop Carroll High school and received a Bachelors Degree in Education with a math and physics major from Indiana University Of Pennsylvania. Former teacher for Penn Cambria High School and retired from Central Cambria School District. Avid Penn State fan holding season tickets for 35 years. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and wood working and built his own home. Member of PSERS, Portage Rotary, Benscreek Social and Citizens Club and ARC. Wally was active in the community with various other organizations and  many times personally  provided pizza and ice cream to the participants of Camp PARC. Friends received from 4 to 8 pm Friday at the Serenko Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage. Funeral Mass   will be  celebrated  at 10 am Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Portage. Fr. Thomas Stabile T.O.R., celebrant. Committal will be private for the family. Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Portage Volunteer Fire Co., Forest Hills Ambulance Assn,  Cambria County Humane Society St. Jude's Hospital, or Mending Hearts Rescue.
