Krampen, Violet Irene (Markel), 77, of Beaverdale, peacefully entered heavens gates on February 7, 2018 at St. Judes Haven. Born November 19, 1940 in Summerhill Twp., the daughter of Walter and Viola (Plummer) Markel. Deceased family members include her parents, infant son, Charles; daughter, Sharon Mae Wholaver; and sister, Shirley Konczos. Survived by daughters, Brenda (Terry) Roberts, Portage; Violet "Ferg" (Mark) Yuzwa, Hooversville; sons, Vincent (Christina) Krampen, Claysburg; and Roy Krampen, Beaverdale. Also survived by grandchildren; great grandchildren; sister; Esther Adams, Portage; brothers, Walter "Butch" Markel, Beaverdale; and Garry Markel, Little Orleans, MD; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of the Beaverdale Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Violet worked many years at Laurel Crest Manor in Ebensburg. It is with sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone who offered her prayers and many acts of kindness and assistance. Special thanks to Interim Hospice Healthcare for their services. She will be dearly missed and loved forever. Friends received from 5-8, p.m., Friday, at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Rev. Dan Hammond, officiating. Interment will be in Dunlo United Methodist Cemetery.
