Victor "Vic" Miller

Miller, Victor "Vic", 85, Portage, passed away June 10, 2024 at Maple Winds Care Center. Born July 3, 1938 in Portage, the son of Leo and Grace (Skelly) Miller. Deceased family members include his parents and  brothers, Richard and Eugene. Survived by the woman he shared a special loving relationship with for 26 years, Renae Epply; sister, Mary Grace Sencowski; brothers, Raymond, James, and Philip; numerous nieces and nephews; and many special friends. Vic loved his cats! He was extremely honored by being a founding member of the Portage Mustang Football Boosters and serving for the past 46 years. You could see him at the games cheering loudly for his Mustangs. He was recognized in 2014 as the Tribune Democrat man of the week for being an outstanding volunteer as a member of the Portage Senior Center, Life member of the Portage Volunteer Fire Company, Holy Family Church, and helped out with numerous activities in the Portage Community. In 2016 he was recognized by the PA Department of Aging as a Volunteer Spotlight Award recipient. He was very proud of his opportunities to give back to the community that he loved. Vic was a 4th Degree in the Knights of Columbus, served on the Borough council, life member of the AMVETS, and volunteered for the food pantry. Friends received from 5-8 p.m., Thursday at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage. where the Portage Knights of Columbus and Sacred Heart Ushers Club will recite the rosary at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Friday at Holy Family Parish, Caldwell Ave. Portage. Committal will be in Saint Bartholomew Cemetery, Wilmore. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Portage Senior Center, Portage Volunteer Fire Company, or the Portage Library.
