Thomas "Tom" W. Giles

Giles, Thomas "Tom" W., 73, Portage, passed away Monday, December 8, 2025 at Maple Heights Health & Rehab Center, Ebensburg. Born April 24, 1952 in Altoona, the son of Robert and Delores (Nileski) Giles. Deceased family members include his parents; brother, Robert Giles; and Aunt Peg Biglin. Survived by loving wife of 36 years Mary Lou (Marsalko) Giles; and sons, Matt and Scott (Michelle Stehman) Giles. Also survived by Sister-in-law, Deborah (Makosky) Giles-Barton; nephews, Chris (Danielle), Kevin (Holly) and Ryan (Maria); numerous brothers and sisters-in law, nieces and nephews. Member of the U.S. Army National Guard. Retired from Pennsylvania Department of Human Services. He enjoyed classic cars, and all sports especially Penn State Football and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Friends received from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, with Father Tom Stabile, T.O.R, officiating.
