Theresa "Tessie" (Hajduk) Smith

Smith, Theresa "Tessie" M. (Hajduk), born in Brooklyn, New York on October 29, 1940; passed away on June 4, 2025 at Maple Heights, Ebensburg. Tessie is preceded in death by her husband Eugene "Smitty"; parents Helen (Smithtro); John "Yaka" Hajduk, siblings: John W. "Butch" and Darlene M. (Bulich) Hajduk; MaryAnn (Hajduk) Kost; Joan Hajduk and James Dolan; Margie (Hajduk) and Joseph "Jim" Medvesky; Felicia (Hajduk) and David McAdams; nephews: James and John Dolan; nieces: Paula Jean and Joan Marie Gamulka. Tessie is survived by brother in law Michael Kost, her many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and all of her dear friends from Portage, especially Lena and Maple Heights. Tessie was a long time resident of Portage. Special appreciation is given to the Steve Nagy family for all of the help they've provided to Tessie and Smitty. Tessie enjoyed basket parties, bingo, casino trips and scratch-off tickets. Aunt Tessie is much loved, fondly remembered and  greatly missed. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage.
