Terry L. Roberts, Sr.

Roberts, Terry Lee, Sr., 77, Portage, passed away June 4, 2024 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born May 25, 1947 in Johnstown, the son of the late Leo and Delores (Krumenacker) Roberts. Survived by loving wife of 44 years, Brenda (Markel) Roberts; children, Terry Roberts, Jr.; Crystal (Clyde) Markel and families; Brian Roberts;  Bradley Roberts; Bobbie (Jason) Alfaro; and Billie Polonia; grandchildren, Donnie, Cheyenne, Scarlett, Jimmy, and Crimson. Brother of Candice, wife of Charles Abbotts and families. Terry is a long time resident of Portage, PA and was a Portage Area High School graduate, he was then drafted into the Army and served in Vietnam. After serving he came home and worked as a mechanic and bartender for years. He then accepted a position as a security guard at L. Robert Kimball's, Ebensburg, up until his health got to much. He loved his family with a passion, love spending time with his kids and grand kids. When he wasn't with his family he was tinkering with anything and everything. He loved his dogs and going down to the Portage Service Station, where his long time friend Tom worked and would let him hang out. He was one of those who would do anything for anyone. The most important part is he was a big believer in God. We would like to thank all whom helped with the care, 365 Hospice, neighbors and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the humane Society.
