Fordick, Jr., Samuel L. "Hido" 79, Lilly, passed away May 10, 2023 at Memorial Medical Center. Born July 1, 1943 in Portage, the son of Samuel and Mary (Fishorek /Fisher) Fordick. Deceased family members include his parents; infant brother, James; brother, Joseph Robert Fordick; nieces, Ashley Roudabush and Shryle Kick, and brothers in law, James Sral Sr.; David Roudabush Sr.; and John Kick, and best friend, Robert Benton. Survived by loving wife, Carol (Demko) Fordick; daughters, Denise Fordick, and Samantha, wife of Ron Markovich; He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Jaydin, Makenna, Kaylee, and Haley (Dave), and his loving cat Bandit. Brother of, Frank (Helen Galus) Fordick; Rose Sral and Carol Roudabush. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Elaine Kick, and Linda (Tom) Snegosky; brothers-in-law, Ron (Debi) Demko and Nick (Pat) Demko and numerous nieces and nephews. Served 8 years in the National Guard. Retired from L.S. Fiore Construction, and long time employee of Michael Lutz construction company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, attending his grandchildren's sporting events, and visiting daily with his grandson, Jaydin. Friends received from 4-8 p.m., Sunday at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage where funeral services will be held at 6 p.m., Sunday. Please wear Peanuts, Pittsburgh Sports Teams, or Portage Mustang Shirts and dress casual. Fr. Thomas Stabile, T.O.R. officiating. Military Funeral Rites by the Portage Ritual Team. Committal will be private for the immediate family.
