Robert Leap

Leap, Robert, 76, Lilly, passed away February 16, 2022 at UPMC Altoona. Born May 19, 1945 in Lilly, the son of Robert J. and Alberta (Moreland) Leap. Deceased family members include his parents and brothers David and Larry. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Barbara (Messelod) Leap; daughters Celeste, Jeannie (Ronald George), Dana (Mike Pinos) and Susan (Damian Diorrio). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Lily George and Henry and Abraham Rein. Owner and operator of Leap Auto and Hardware for over 50 years. U.S. Army Veteran. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing and spending time with his family. At Robert's request, there will be no viewing or visitation but friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Polish National Catholic Church, Lilly. Fr. Scott Lill, celebrant. Military funeral rites by the Lilly Veterans Organization. Committal will be private.
