Obituary
Kodosky, Robert, 87, of Portage, passed away January 2, 2023 at UPMC-Altoona Hospital. Born March 26, 1935, in Lilly, the son of Joseph and Mary (Slaga) Kodosky. Deceased family members include his parents, wife, Jacqueline (Berzansky) Kodosky; brothers, Stanley, Frank and John Kodosky; and sisters, Mary Savukas and Anna Wozniak. Survived by children, Robert J. Kodosky and wife, Linda, West Chester; Keith M. Kodosky and wife, Kary, Atlanta, GA; Kevin M. Kodosky; and Mary F., wife of Jarrod Lisker, both of Richmond, VA. Army Veteran of the Korean War Era. He enjoyed drawing and listening to music, especially Polkas. Former clerk for Quaker Market and Foodland in Portage and last employed at the Bi-Lo in Johnstown. Played baseball for the Industrial League and Polish PNA League. Avid Fan of the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball team and especially a Stan Musial fan. Friends received from 4-8, pm, Thursday at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 am, Friday at Holy Family Parish, Caldwell Ave., Father Thomas Stabile, T.O.R., celebrant. Committal in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Portage. Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Portage Senior Citizens Center.
