Wilson, Richard H., Jr., 80 Morrison's Cove in Martinsburg, formerly of Puritan, passed away March 3, 2018 at Hillview Rehabilitation Center, Altoona. Born April 16, 1937 in Beaverdale, the son of Richard and Edna (Emler) Wilson, Sr. Deceased family members include his first wife, Goldie (Hodge) of 48 years. Brothers and sisters include Georgetta Canonnie, Emma Moel, Earnest Wilson, Eva Johnson, Thomas Wilson. Survived by wife of 9 years, Barbara (Thibault), whom he married March 6, 2008. Children, Deborah, wife of Donald Skelly Jr., Portage, Cynthia, married to the late Richard George of Portage, Donna married to Douglas Hoover of Saxton, Melinda married to Michael Nicholson of Portage, Richard married to Nicole (Holland) of East Freedom Pa., Brian married to Sherry of Michigan, David married to Kathy and Michelle married to Wally Simpson, all of Michigan. Also survived by Edna, married to Norman Bloug of Ragers Hill, PA, Edie married to Blain Ruffing of Michigan, 22 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, also 3 deceased grandchildren. He was retired from the Air Force as a security policeman for 23 years. He also worked at Bethlehem Steel mills for years and worked as a Park Manager at Orleans County Park in New York where he ran a fish cleaning station. He also worked in Portage as a barber at his own shop, and then Code Enforcer also in Portage. He loved hunting, fishing, going to Rocky Gap Casino, and spending time with loved ones. He faithfully donated to his favorite charity St. Jude's Children's Hospital. The family asks that any donations be made to St. Jude's. Friends received from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11a.m., Pastor Tim Dietrich, officiating. Final committal will be at Mount Moriah Cemetery, Blue Knob. Military rites by Portage Ritual Team.
