Myers, Phyllis L. (Benshoff), 89, Cassandra, passed away August 6, 2025 at Maple Winds Care Center. Born July 4, 1936 in Johnstown, the daughter of Paul and Martha (Eppley) Benshoff. Deceased family members include her parents, husband, Edward Stephen "Ted" Myers, Jr.; children, Kathryn, Mark and John. Survived by children, Susan, wife of Michael Stager; Edward P. and wife Joyce (Hoover) Myers; Barbara, wife of Thomas M. Krcha; Matthew and wife Renee (Smith); Daniel and wife, Carrie (Horn). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Tabatha Learn, Jocelyn, wife of Thomas McCabe; Marissa (Stevie) Myers; Travis Stiffler; Cassidy Myers; Julia (Myers) wife of Adam Karalfa; Trista (Jake) Krcha; and great grandchildren, Taylor and Riley Learn; Jemma McCabe and Kensley Karalfa. Sister of, James (Bessie) Benshoff and Ralph Benshoff. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Secretary of Cassandra Boro, Portage Area Ambulance Association. Member of Cassandra Fire Ladies Auxiliary and Cambria County Ladies Auxiliary; Served on the election board. Member of the Cresson United Methodist Church. Co-owner of the HWZ Coal Yard, Myers Cemetery Care, and Myers Monuments. Phyllis grew up on her family farm and was very proud of her roots. Above all she excelled at being a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, a nurturer of cats, dogs, and was a huge fan of Elvis. Friends received from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home PC. Portage where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Committal will be in Lillydale Cemetery.
