Michael Petrunak

Petrunak, Michael, 77, of Summerhill, passed away July 24, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center. Born April 6, 1941 in Portage, the son of the late Michael and Helen (Petrick) Petrunak. Survived by loving wife of 54 years, Patricia (Ponczek) Petrunak; children Dianne Petrunak and companion Scott Harkcom, Pleasant Gap; Eric Petrunak, married to the former Jody Hildebrand, Hollidaysburg; and Kristen, wife of Michael Pasierb, Portage. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Darren Petrunak and fiancé Kiersten Hartline, Evan, Leah and Landen Petrunak; Mallory and Lydia Pasierb.  He was the brother of Robert Petrunak, Thomas Petrunak, Jeanne Mansfield, Mark Petrunak and Ronald Petrunak. He was an avid sports fan. He loved following Penn State sports; the Pirates, Steelers and Penguins. He coached football at Bishop Carroll High School for over 40 years and taught mathematics at Forest Hills High School. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Ushers Club. He enjoyed woodworking and assisting his children with home improvement projects.  Friends received from 2-8 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2018 at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC Portage. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church, Wilmore. Fr. Joseph Nale, celebrant. Committal will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Portage.
