Michael C. Harrison

Harrison, Michael C., 81, Portage, passed away February 4, 2019 at home. Born May 13, 1937 in Chicago, IL. The son of Russell and Angela (Leginze) Harrison. Deceased family members include his parents; step-father, Walter Filip; brother-in-law, Thomas Fukas and wife Marcia (Fyock) Fukas. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan (Fukas) Harrison; and son, Michael Harrison and wife Miche, of Loretto; grandsons, Ty and Logan; brother and sister -in-law, Dr. Brian Paul and wife Patty of Virginia Beach, VA; nieces, Attorney Michele Paul, Virginia Beach, VA; Dr. Lauren Paul, Japan; and Trisha Wirick, Christy Croyle and Shelley Fukas, all of South Fork. Mike was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of Holy Family Parish, Portage. He was a big Pitt, Florida State and Steelers fan. He especially liked watching the Portage Mustangs girls basketball games. Mike coached the former St. Joseph School 8th grade boys basketball team and won two championships. He was a former Portage Area High School Board member and a member of the Portage Moose. Retired from Bethlehem Steel, Freight Car Division. Friends received from 3-8 p.m. Thursday at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage where funeral services will be held 8 p.m., Thursday, Father Tom Stabile, TOR, celebrant.
