Ciokota, Michael F. "Mickey", 72, Portage, passed away April 24, 2023 at UPMC-Altoona. Born May 2, 1950 in Johnstown, the son of Andrew and Martha (Tutsock) Ciokota. Deceased family members include his parents; wife, Joan Ciokota; sister, Connie Ciokota; brother-in-law, Frank Ference; and niece, Kelly (Ference) Brown. Survived by brother, Jake (Donna) Ciokota; sister, Judy Ference and her companion, Mike Nagy; and nieces, nephews, and cousins. U.S. Army Veteran, serving in Korea and Life member of Post 150 AMVETS. Retired supervisor of the Portage Sewer Authority. Friends received from 2-5 p.m., Friday at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage, where funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Pastor Doug McCully, officiating. Committal will be private.
