Mary Theresa (Shuty) Tully

Tully, Mary T. (Shuty), 75, passed away August 25, 2024 at The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg. Born November 27, 1948 in Portage, the daughter of  Edward and Helen (Hoffman) Shuty. Preceded in death by her parents, sister, Helen Godish and former husband Thomas Tully. She is survived by son, Patrick, and wife Colleen; grandchildren, Jacquelyn, Nicholas, and Alexandra; sister, Patricia Neighoff; several  nieces and nephews, as well as her godchildren, Rebecca (Godish) Detwiler, Michael Story, Jr., and Tyler Helsel. Mary cherished her career at the National Park Service and was especially proud of supporting the Rails to Trails program. After retiring from the NPS, Mary worked at the Canal Basin Reiser as a docent for Hollidaysburg Boro. Mary enjoyed ballet, the Arts, spending time camping, fishing, and relaxing with a Coors Light. Above all, she loved to shop. Extra special thanks from Mary herself to Mark A. The family would like to share their gratitude with The Lutheran Home, Hollidaysburg for their kindness and compassion in the care of Mary during her last days. Friends received from 2-4 p.m., Thursday at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage where funeral services will be held at 4 p.m., Thursday, Father Tom Stabile, officiating.
