Mary (Halgash) Allen

Allen, Mary, 93, State College, formerly of Johnstown, passed away November 9, 2022 at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born November 7, 1929 in Portage, the daughter of John and Helen (Citsa) Halgash. Deceased family members include her parents, brother George Halgash and sister in law Lois Halgash, brothers in law David Raybould, Donald Richardson and George Efstathakis. Survived by loving husband of 66 years, Lewis Allen; daughter Patricia (Charles) Doty; State College, sons Michael (Maria) Allen; Cincinnati; and David (Eileen) Allen; Indianapolis.  She will be sadly missed by her grandsons Christopher, Matthew and Peter Doty; granddaughters Rachel (Jess) Hunger, Katie Allen, Christine Allen, and Marybeth Allen and great-grandson Owen Robert Hunger. Sister of Doris (Halgash) Efstathakis, Margaret Raybould and Jean Richardson. Mary and Lewis were  long time residents of Johnstown, Pennsylvania and attended St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Church in Conemaugh. Friends received from 9-10 a.m., Wednesday at St. Michael's Russian Orthodox Church, Portage where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday. Father George Johnson, officiating with con-celebrants, Father Gregori Tsoujman and Father Ignatius Hunter. Committal in St. Michael's Orthodox Cemetery.
