Hopper, Margaret Ann, 87, passed away August 10, 2020 at Cambria Care Center. Born November 10, 1932 in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, the daughter of George and Mary (Donlan) O'Neill. Deceased family members include her parents; husband Thomas Hopper, sisters; Marie Kostowskie, Catherine Chambers, Mary Fry and brothers; George, Joseph and Francis O'Neill. Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her daughter; Cindy Hopper of Florida, granddaughter; Ashlee Kiel, married to Todd Holsopple of Portage, grandson; Noah Sheaffer and wife Corin of Richmond, Virginia, and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Margaret retired as cafeteria manager at Portage Area School District. She was a dedicated parishoner of the former St. Joseph’s Church, where she was a member of the choir and volunteered her time in many capacities. Former President of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Club. Margaret will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and a selfless heart of service. Due to the pandemic, services and interment are private. A Celebration of Life mass will be held at a later date. The Hopper family is being served by the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage.
