Lila J. (Dixon) Skutch

Skutch, Lila J. (Dixon), 86, of Portage, passed away November 17, 2018 at MapleWinds Care Center. Born July 10, 1932 in Ehrenfeld, the daughter of Wilbur G. and Helen (Harvey) Dixon. Deceased family members include her parents; husband, Charles A. Skutch; brothers, William, Donald, and Robert Dixon; and sister, Elizabeth Stager.  Survived by four loving sons, James; Russell and wife Laurie; Brian and wife Shawna; Robert and wife Michele, all of Portage.  She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Aaron (Kristen), Amanda, Eric, Christine (Kirk Schrecengost), Cody, and Lance; and great grandchildren, Jack, Avery, and Henry. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Graduate of South Fork-Croyle High School; retired teachers Aide from Portage Area High School.  She was avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan and enjoyed golfing, crossword puzzles, bus trips, and mornings with her friends at the gym. Friends received from 4-8 p.m., Tuesday at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday at Holy Family Parish, Caldwell Ave, Portage, Father Thomas Stabile, TOR, celebrant.  Committal will be in Prospect Cemetery, Portage.  Online condolences may be made at serenkoclaarfuneralhome.com.
