Leonard Siedlarczyk Obituary

Siedlarczyk, Leonard, 84, Portage, passed away peacefully at home December 29, 2020. Born May 3, 1936 to Andrew and Helen (Kondis) Siedlarczyk. Len was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 53 years Marlene (Lesko) and son Kevin. He is survived by siblings James (Cindy), Helen Louise Bocci, Irene (Rodney) Geisbrecht, Andrew, Carol (Patrick) Love and Gerald (Laura). There are numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and in-laws. A special thank you to sister-in-law Janet Buchinsky for many years of kindness. Leonard was a 1953 graduate of Lilly High School. He had also served three years in Germany for the U.S. Army. Leonard had worked as a gifted wood craftsman for years at the physical plant at Saint Francis College. He designed and built hundreds of pieces of furniture; many of which have become cherished family heirlooms. Len was a member of the American Legion and had served many years as an officer of the Bear Rock Sportsman Association. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Portage. Due to public heath concerns, there will be no viewing or public service at this time. Funeral arrangements by the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage. Internment will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery. Great appreciation is extended to the Conemaugh Hospice staff of nurse aides, registered nurses, social workers, and Chaplain Father Scott Lill. They all performed in an exemplary professional manner and demonstrated true personal concern. Acknowledgments of Leonard may be accomplished by a charitable contribution to an organization of your choice in Leonard's memory.
