Justin Michael Spaid

Spaid, Justin, 32, of Lilly, was called to the Lord for eternal rest on July 15, 2023. He was born on May 30, 1991, in Altoona, the son on Karen Wozniak and Jeff Spaid. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Anna Wozniak & Donald (Deed) Spaid, his aunt Barbara Spaid, and his cousin Ashley Myers. He is survived by his loving wife and soulmate, Jaylynn Surma, and their dog Levi; his grandmother, Joan Spaid; his parents Karen Wozniak (Mike Savino) and Jeff Spaid (Olivia), his sister Brittany Smith (husband Brent) their children Caden and Colson Smith; his uncle George Wozniak, (wife Tammy) and their children Lexi (husband Matthew, son Matthew Jr.), Kaelyn and Arianna Wozniak, his aunt Toni Myers (Ray) and Trentyn, his cousin Becky Earnest (husband Adam) their children Gabby, Caitlin, and Issac, his uncle Douglas Spaid (wife Melanie) their children Tyler and Tanner, aunt Trisha Spaid (husband Dan), children Spencer and Matthew, aunt Kim (husband Walter), children Jeremy, Adrienne and Mallory, aunt Kristi and her children Samantha and Sydney; father and mother in law, Jon Surma aka pappy and (wife Tracey) their children, Joscelyn Muellerleile (Zachary) their children Grayson, Gannon and Grant, and Cody (Kyra) and Cole Surma (Ayden). He graduated from CCAC with an associate degree in Nuclear Medicine and was working at UPMC East until 2023. He was then hired by UPMC HVI in Latrobe in March 2023. Justin loved to make other people laugh, no matter how inappropriate the joke was. The love he shared with his wife was undeniable, rivaling the love he had for the Pittsburgh Steelers. While Justin is no longer physically with us, his presence will remain in our hearts forever. Friends received from 4-8, p.m., Friday at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, at Our Lady of the Alleghenies Church Lilly,  Father Matthew Reese, celebrant. Committal will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Kecksburg, PA.
