Judith (Sweeney) Zachesky

Zachesky, Judith, 73, passed away November 10, 2020 at UPMC Altoona Hospital. Born April 4, 1947 in Lilly, the daughter of Paul E. "Moose" and Marian C. (Eckenrode) Sweeney. Deceased family members include her parents, husband Raymond E. "Butch" Zachesky, and brother in law John Plummer. Survived by sons, Joseph Zachesky, married to the former Lora Bush, Northern Cambria; and William "Bill" Zachesky, married to the former Julie Yocom, Pottstown She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Jennifer, Nathan, Clay, and Lucas Zachesky and great-grandaughter Alayna Neff. Sister of Mary Ann (Jack) Plummer-Tippery, Ruthie (Robert) VanGuilder, Sue (Russ) Kiel, John (Jackie Mazzarese), Tom (Diana Wagner), and Heather (Phillip) Rhodes. Formerly employed at Sheetz and was a lunch-lady at Penn Cambria Schools for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. She also enjoyed shopping and playing bingo with her sisters. Family and close friends only received Sunday 2-6 p.m. at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage. A Memorial Mass and burial will be celebrated at a later date. The family is requesting all friends and family who are attending the visitation to please wear a mask.
