Josephine (Branas) Straczek

Straczek, Josephine, (Branas), 96, of Portage passed away September 10, 2020 at Rose of Sharon Home, Inc., St. Michael. Born April 22, 1924 in Portage, the daughter of John and Stella (Witkoski)  Branas. Deceased family members include her parents, husband, John; son, Stanley "Stush" Straczek; daughter, Alice Jo Straczek; brother, John Branas and sisters Dolores Chappell, Pauline Gruss, and Valeria Musial. Survived by daughter, Regina, wife of Edward Turner; Ohio; grandchildren, Michael and Kevin Plis; brother Joseph "Sonny" Branas, Somerset. Retired seamstress of 28 years from K&B Sportswear. She was a cook at the former Sacred Heart Parish where she volunteered for 16 years. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting and reading. Services and Entombment will be private.
