Joseph Plummer Sr.

Plummer, Joseph, Sr., 61, Portage, passed away January 12, 2022 at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital surrounded by his wife and children. He is preceded in death by his parents Floyd Sr and Yvonne Plummer, his granddaughter (daughter of Jeffrey and Melonie) Kaylee Plummer, and his brother Ivan Plummer. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Rebecca (Harrison) Plummer, his children Joseph Jr married to Rachael (Surap) Plummer, Sidman, Jeffrey married to Melonie (Surap) Plummer, Beaverdale, Kristy married to Joshua Pugh, Portage, and Jessica married to Jacob Gutshall, Portage. He is also survived by his grandchildren who all loved him dearly, Autumn, Joseph III, and Julianna Plummer. Emily and Madalynn Plummer. McKenzie, Lillian and Wesley Pugh. Elizabeth Gutshall. Joseph is also survived by his loving dog and best friend Peaches. Survived by siblings Floyd Plummer Jr married to Shelly, Portage, Chris Beaner married to Earl, St. Michael, Patti Smith, Portage and Willard Plummer married to Katherine, Summerhill, and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Joseph was a 1978 graduate of Forest Hills and a former truck driver for Waste Management for 25 years. Joseph loved his family, especially his grandchildren. All of his grandchildren looked up to him and have many loving memories of their pappy. Joseph also loved family get-togethers. He loved hunting with his sons, grandson and son-in-law. He loved gardening, tinkering in his garage and spoiling his dog Peaches. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him, especially his family. He was a true inspiration to his family. Friends received from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage where funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Pastor Art Black, officiating.
