Joseph D. McConnell

McConnell, Joseph D. Sr. 85, Portage passed away March 28, 2019 at UPMC Altoona. Born January 19, 1934 in Altoona, the son of Roy and Helen (Cashman) McConnell. Deceased family members include his parents, wife Mary McConnell, children: Roy, Mary, Shirley and Charles; grandson William and granddaughter Mary and several brothers and sisters. Survived by children: Cindy, Elva, Joe, Will, Alice, Jimmy, Johnny, Donny, Larry and Michael. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He loved fishing, going to church and the Chicago Cubs. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona. The Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage is serving the McConnell family.
