Joseph J. Leposky

Leposky, Joseph, J., 81, passed away on September 15, 2023 at Midtown Oaks, Altoona. He was born on May 31, 1942 in Johnstown, the son of Michael and Elizabeth (Nagy) Leposky. Deceased family members include his parents, sisters, Nancy Kersey and Betty Ann Spantack. Joe is survived by loving wife, Linda LaMorte-Leposky, brother, Michael (Josephine) Leposky and sister, Lois (Leposky) Kinback. Joe is also survived by two stepdaughters, 4 step-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Joe was a United States Air force Veteran and member of the Portage American Legion Post 430. Joe retired from Stager's Chevrolet as a car salesman, with 37 years of service. He was an avid golfer who also enjoyed the Pirates, Steelers and Portage high school sporting events. Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20 at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Thursday, September 21 at Holy Family Parish, Portage; Father Tom Stabile, TOR, celebrant. Committal will be in St. Marys Cemetery, Portage.
