Stefanko, John Joseph "Jack", 84, of Portage, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away March 22, 2025 at Memorial Medical Center. Born October 24, 1940 in Windber, the son of John E. and Gertrude (Funfar) Stefanko. Deceased family members include his parents; son, James A. Stefanko; and sister, Andrea Bukovsky. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Louise (Yancisin) Stefanko; children, Kelly, wife of Brett Randall; John J. Stefanko; Katrina, wife of Nicholas Macchia; and Kerry, wife of David Martin. Grandchildren, Brian A. (Brittany) Randall; Kayla, wife of A.J. Rost; Cody Randall; Marisa, Cassandra, and Madison Macchia; and Melissa Macchia-Schwer; Kristyna Salmon; Brady and Aidan Chippo; and Ben and Abby Martin; also 10 great grandchildren. He was the brother of, Mark, James and Gertrude Stefanko. Retired after 38 years of service from the Liason office at Penn DOT. Viewing will be private, but the family invites family and friends to attend the visitation at Holy Family Parish from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Tuesday, with Father Tom Stabile, celebrant. Committal will be in Saint Francis Xavier, Cemetery, Cresson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Portage Library or Crichton-McCormick Park.
