John Kick Obituary

Kick, John G., 79, Jamestown, Portage Twp., passed away October 14, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center. Born March 21, 1942 in Summerhill, the son of George and LaRue (Cook) Kick. Deceased family members include his parents; daughter, Shryle L. Kick; brothers, Larry, Thomas, and Donald Kick; and sister, Sonja Johnson. Survived by loving wife of 60 years, Elaine (Demko) Kick and these children, John M. (Carey) Kick; Kristin  (Barry) Kick; and Michael S. (Kristi) Kick. He will be sadly missed by his 6 grandchildren and 9 Great grandchildren. Brother of; Matthew Kick and wife, Marsha; William Kick and wife, Barbara; and April, wife of Jack Patterson. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Cindy Eunice Kick and Diane Kick; special aunts, Eda Mae Cook and Thelma "Toots" Prozialeck; and numerous nieces and nephews. Retired machinist for Flood City Brass and Electric and was the Owner and Operator of Kick's garage and Kick's Night and Day Store Portage. Enjoyed going to car shows, hunting, fishing, being Mr. Fix it, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Services and Burial will be private for the family. The Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage, is serving the Kick family. Family suggests memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
