Joanne (Greczek) Redfern

Redfern, Joanne (Greczek), 82, of Portage, passed away December 4, 2024 at Maple Winds Care Center, Portage. Born November 30, 1942 in Portage, the daughter of Alvin and Josephine (Bentkowski) Greczek. Deceased family members include her parents, husband, Paul Redfern, and brothers, Richard (Barb), Ronald (Irene), and James (Carole) Grezcek. Survived by son, Douglas (Stefanie Doyka), Bellefonte, and loving granddaughter, Brooke. Joanne with her husband Paul owned and operated Redfern beer distributing for 20 years; Tax collector for Portage Boro; Her polish food was loved by everyone and she loved to share her recipes. Family was very special to her and always made them her priority. Cooked at the Benscreek Club and for many funerals at Sacred Heart Church. She loved her dog Angel. Friends received from 2-8 p.m. Monday at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Parish, Caldwell Avenue, Portage.
