Joan "JoAnn" Itell

Itell, Joan "JoAnn", 76, of Portage passed away Mar. 17, 2019 at Memorial Medical Center. Born Oct. 3, 1942 in Portage Twp., the daughter of Frank Phillips and Ada (Wawrzaszek) Phillips-Warner and step-father, Francis "Bunny" Warner. Deceased family members include her parents; husband, Patrick Itell; sisters, Lillian Sigado and Martha Rusnak, and nephew Frank Sigado. She is survived by step father, and these  nieces and nephews: Gerald (Barbara) Sigado, Anthony (Kerry) Sigado, Marguerite (Galen) Nelson, Michelle (Timothy) Reeves, Debra (James Scofield) Taczanowsky, John (Tina) Rusnak, William (Susanne) Rusnak and Frances (Edward) Pawloski. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews from the Itell family. She was a graduate of Cambria Rowe Business College and was formerly employed as a secretary at St. Francis College. Joan loved to read and enjoyed gardening. Joan also enjoyed writing short stories and poetry. Friends received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home. PC, Portage.
