Potchak, Irma L., 97, Richland died June 22, 2024 at home. Born Oct. 21, 1926 in Portage the daughter of William and Ernestine (Pomat) LaVanche. Deceased family members include her parents; husband, Michael Potchak; daughter, Sharon Lee Riley; and 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Last member of her immediate family. Survived by her children, Karen, wife of Mike Velemirovich, Berea, WV; Paula, wife of Jerry Ripple, Richland; Michael Potchak and wife Sandra, Karns City, PA; Mark Potchak and wife Patty, Richland. She will be sadly missed by 11 grandchildren, Wendy, Michelle, Heather, Scott, Matt, Adam, Tim, Shawn, Joseph, Emily, and Carly and 21 great grandchildren. Irma was an avid puzzler and knitter; making several hundred lap blankets for the elderly. Her real passion was her family. Friends received from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday at the William Harris Funeral Home, Cherry Lane, Richland. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Benedict's Church. Fr. Brian Warchola, celebrant. Entombment in Richland Mausoleum. The William Harris Funeral Home and the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home are serving the Potchak Family.
