Ian Viscusi

Viscusi, Ian (21); Portage, was suddenly called home to be with the Lord on July 20th, 2025 as the result of a motor vehicle accident. Born August 3rd, 2003, Ian is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Clair and Dolores Chappell (Portage), paternal grandfather Robert E. Viscusi (Salix), and friend “Mimi” Stosky (Gallitzin). He is survived by his parents, Robert and Denise Viscusi (née Chappell) (Portage), sister Summer Viscusi (Manhattan), grandmother Mary Jane Viscusi (Portage), as well as extended family Karma & Jordan (Altoona). He will also be sadly missed by cats Oliver, Professor, and Crybaby (Portage). Loved by many, Ian was a cherished member of his family, known for his kindness and compassion. Every soul he touched was left changed for the better. Ian was an avid gamer with varied interests, including computer technology, anime, and cats. He recently began working at Sheetz Distribution Center and was excited about his new position and what life had in store for him. He will be honored at Serenko-Claar Funeral Home on Saturday, July 26th, with friends received from 10am to 1pm, at which time a service will be conducted by Pastor Matt Leverknight of Portage CMA. Immediately following, a celebration of life will be held at Shepherd’s Hall where lunch will be served. Our family welcomes all who knew Ian and looks forward to hearing about the various ways his gentle soul touched so many lives. "
