Marsalko, Helen, 101, of Portage passed away December 1, 2022 at Forest Hills Personal Care Home. Born July 31, 1921 in Portage, the daughter of John and Gertrude Vidinsky. Deceased family members include her parents, husband John Marsalko, grandson Jeremy Marsalko, sister Margaret and brothers Joseph, John, Frank and Alfred. She is survived by daughter Christine (Theodore) Gillin and son Ronald (Louise Lahosky) Marsalko; grandchildren Eric Gillin, Wendy (Matthew) Polasko, Taryn (Michael) Medeiros, and Matthew Marsalko; and great-grandchildren Dillan and Ryleigh Polasko, Kory and Kendra Marsalko and Joseph, Daniel and Elizabeth Medeiros. As a World War II veteran, Helen proudly served her country from February 1943 until November 1946 as a member of the WAC (Women's Army Corps). All services and interment will be private.
