Frank Giblock, age 95, of Lilly, PA, died peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, September 27, 2020. Son of the late Andrew and Sophia (Kularsik) Giblock; he was born on October 7, 1924, in Lilly. He married Anna Mae Wadsworth on November 6, 1948 in St. Brigid Church and together they had a beautiful marriage of almost 72 years. At the time of death, Frank was a member of the Our Lady of the Alleghenies Catholic Church in Lilly. Frank worked as a welder for Stevens Manufacturing and then as a miner for the Florence Mining Company in Armagh. He was a proud veteran serving in World War II as a US Army Technician Fifth Grade with the 1664th Engineer Service Detachment; he was honorably discharged with the rank of corporal. He was a member of the Francis L. McCool Post 628 American Legion serving as their Chaplain for many years. A hunting enthusiast, he was also a member of the Bear Rock Sportmens Club. Surviving in addition to his wife are daughter Kathy (Don) Shaw of Washington, PA, and son Tom (Marcia) Giblock of Gillette, WY. He was the proud grandfather of Shannon (Gretchen) Giblock, Kelly Shaw, Kristy Shaw, Jamie (Tim) Deimling, and Matt Giblock. His great grandchildren are Alyssa, Jacob, and Hailey Deimling and Gaven Giblock. Also surviving is a sister, Agnes Giblock of Portage. Deceased are brothers Jack and Stanley Kozlick, Edward and Marion Giblock, sisters Viola Wuicik, Nancy Mardula, Josephine Waksmunski and Lottie Kowalczyk. Memorial Contributions may be made to Lilly American Legion, PA or Our Lady of the Alleghenies Church Lilly, PA. Services and interment will be private due to the Pandemic.
