Fordick, Francis J. (Frank), Sr.  82, earned his heavenly wings Sunday, July 2, 2023 and died peacefully at home suffering from Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson's disease  surrounded by his loving family. Born March 30, 1941 in Portage the son of Samuel and Mary (Fishorek/Fisher) Fordick. Deceased family members include his parents; infant brother, James; brothers, Joseph Robert and Samuel Lawrence Fordick; in laws, Andrew and Anna Galus; brothers in law, James Galus; James Sral, Sr. and David Roudabush, Sr.; son in law, Kevin Krumenaker; niece Ashley Roudabush; and life long best friend, Anthony "Tony" Farren. Survived by loving wife of 60 years, Helen (Galus) Fordick; daughters, Cindy, wife of John Maruska; Chris, wife of Bill Patterson; Connie wife of the late Kevin Krumenaker; Cherri, wife of Vinnie Heiss; and Crystal, wife of Jeff Hite; and son, Frank Fordick, Jr. married to the former Jen Earnest. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Meghan and (Keith); Brittany and (Cory); Kayla; Josh; Holly and (Aaron); Kristen and (Patrick); Leanna and (Michael); Frank III; Matthew and (Briana); Dallas and (Julia); Chase; Connor; Dillon; and Celsey; and great grandchildren, Landon; Lydia; Anna; Oakley; Liam; Emmett; and baby Walsh expected August 2023. Brother of Rose Sral and Carol Roudabush. Also survived by in laws, Carol Fordick; Jean Galus; Nancy and Edward Stombaugh;  and Bob and Peg Galus and numerous nieces, nephews, and God Children. Retired Meat cutter from various stores with 50 plus years of service and last employed as a fabricator from F.L. Smith Company. Avid hunter and fisherman and also enjoyed gardening, woodworking and spending time with Helen on the back porch and with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lifetime member, gold card member, past Vice President, and Camp Chairman of the Jamestown Rod and Gun Club. He organized and supervised the Rod and Gun Club kitchen for Youth Field Day and the Kid's Fishing Derby for many years. Original founder and owner of Fordick's Deer Processing for 50 years. The family would like to thank Peggy Conrad for her compassion and care for Frank. Family suggests memorial contributions be made to  the Lilly American Legion or Windber Hospice.  Friends received from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home. PC, Portage. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Thursday at Our Lady of The Alleghenies Catholic Church, Lilly. Fr. Matthew Reese, Celebrant. Committal in St. Brigid's Cemetery.
