Albarano, Frances (Kolbrecki), 96, Lilly, passed away January 11, 2025 at Garvey Manor. Born March 1, 1928 in, Lilly, the daughter of Joseph and Michelina (Kureck) Kolbrecki. Deceased family members include her parents; husband, Samuel F. Albarano, Sr; daughter, Rose Marie Albarano; brother and sisters, Joseph Kolbrecki, Mary Kowalski, and Anna Oravecz. Survived by son, Deacon Samuel F. (Carol Berardinelli) Albarano, Jr., Lilly; daughter, Felicia, wife of Elwood C. "Ted" Holliday, Hollidaysburg; Grandchildren, Alisha, wife of John Plummer; Samuel F. (Cara Malcotti) Albarano, III; Samantha (Michael) Geishauser and Casey Holliday; greatgrandsons, Garret (Jennifer) and Caden Plummer; and great granddaughter, Adelaide Geishauser. She was a former CCD teacher, regularly attended daily mass, and loved to spend time with her classmates. An avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan, and enjoyed reading, doing search a word puzzles, playing bingo and cooking for her family. Visitation will be private although family and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass which will be celebrated on Thursday at 11 a.m., at Our Lady of the Alleghenies Catholic Church, Main Street, Lilly, with Father Matthew Reese, as Celebrant. Committal will be in St. Brigids Cemetery, Lilly. The Albarano family is being served by the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage.
