Esther Bernadette (Zock) Sabala

Sabala, Esther  Bernadette, (Zock) 83, of Jamestown, Portage Twp., passed away May 7, 2020 at Memorial Medical Center, with her daughters by her side. Born February 2, 1937, in Portage Twp., the daughter of Frank and Catherine (Starchville) Zock. Preceded in death by, her parents; loving husband, Anthony "Tony" Sabala; brothers and sisters, Agnes Tomasko, Josephine Russ, Blanche Zock, Anna Zock, and Irene Lidwell; Frank Jr., Chester, Leo and Stanley Zock; Survived by children, Dennis Girard; Dominic Girard; Dina (Dave) White; Vanessa (Darryl) Hunt; and Valerie (Pete) Pcola; grandchildren, Kayla (Abhy) Singla; Jessica (Brian) Brunnet; Michael Pcola and fiancee Leanna Fordick; and great-granddaughters, Aubrey  and Alina Brunnet. Sister of, Kathryn Mackovyak, Regina Gillen, and Delores (David) Rorabaugh. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Faye Zock, and Marilyn Cabala; and brother-in-law, Edward Sabala; and numerous nieces and nephews. Formerly employed by K&B Sportswear. She enjoyed outings with her children, going for rides with her girls, helping to raise her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly; and bonding with her great granddaughters. The Sabala family is being served by the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage.  Funeral services will be private. A Memorial mass will be held at a later date.
