Dorothy (Gides) Zura

Zura, Dorothy M., 86, passed away December 2, 2018 at Presbyterian Home, Hollidaysburg. Born January 21, 1932 in Lilly. The daughter of George and Mary (Sciko) Gides. Deceased family members include her parents, husband, Robert Zura, brothers; John and George Gides, and sisters; Ann Raptosh and Catherine Kawtoski. She is survived by her sister Teresa McVicker and sister in law Mary Gides; both of Ohio as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy was a 1949 graduate of Lilly High School. She and her husband Robert were lifetime members of Sacred Heart Church, Portage. She retired from Stagers Store. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or a charity of your choice. Friends received from 4 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage. Funeral Mass 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Parish, Caldwell Ave., Portage. Fr. Tom Stabile, TOR celebrant. Entombment in Sacred Heart Mausoleum, Portage.
