Donald Richard Schmidt

Schmidt, Donald Richard, 74, of Portage, passed away, September 27th, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center, with his beloved son by his side. He was born November 30, 1943 in Johnstown, the son of  the late Harry David and Cecilia Ann (McEwan) Schmidt. Survived by sons, David and wife Tammy of South Brunswick, NJ; and Daniel and wife Jennifer of Holly Springs, NC; grandchildren, Nicholas, Timothy, and Kaitlyn; brother, Dewayne and wife, Pat of Burlington, NJ; and his beloved niece Candi and her family. Also survived by many cousins and friends at the Parkway that will miss him dearly. Donald retired in 2002 from Johnson and Johnson, North Brunswick, NJ, after more than 40 years of service.  In 2005 Donald returned to his hometown of Portage, PA.  Friends received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., Monday at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, P.C., Portage, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Pastor Jerry Zuvers, officiating.  Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery, Portage.
