Donald Patterson

Patterson, Donald, 88, Jamestown, passed away May 16, 2024. Born January 11, 1936 in Lilly, the son of John L. and Anna (Bender) Patterson. Deceased family members include his parents, wife Doris Patterson; daughter, Theresa Latterner; brothers, Billy, David and Francis "Hubba" Patterson. Step-son, William Gallaher and wife Virginia; grandchildren, William Gallaher III; Justin Gallaher; Joshua Latterner; Jessica Latterner; and, Tara, wife of Elijah Fetcko; great grandchildren, Lucas, Dylan, Raelynn, Justin, and Makayla. Also survived by, daughter, Doreen Saparo, and son, David Patterson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Brother of, Joe and wife Shirley Patterson. Formerly employed by TCT Transportation and retired from Beth Energy Mine 33. Don was a U.S. Navy veteran and enjoyed gardening, shooting pool, hunting and fishing. There will be no public visitation but friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 10 a.m., at Our Lady of the Alleghenies Church, Lilly, Father Matthew Reese, celebrant. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Windber Hospice. The Patterson family is being served by the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage.
