Delores McVicker

McVicker, Delores A. 83, Portage, went to be with the Lord January 4, 2021 at home. Born September 13, 1937 in Johnstown, the daughter of Anthony and Alberta (Page) Bastine. Deceased family members include her parents, husband, Thomas L. McVicker, sister Esther Chambers, and brother in law Raymond Chambers. Survived by children Thomas L. (Kelly Wentz) McVicker II, South Fork; Bryan B. (Patricia) Richards, Johnstown; and Keith D. McVicker, Portage; grandchildren Amanda (Sean) Yakicic, FL; Thomas L. McVicker III, FL; Sarah T. McVicker, NC; Clayton M. McVicker, South Fork; Jocelyn R. Clayton, Indiana, PA; Bryan K. Richards, Steelton, PA; Cynthia A. Richards, Steelton, PA; and Laura Reid, Johnstown; great-grandchildren Perry Jane, Remy Sue, and Marlow Thomas Yakicic as well as additional grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Delores was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who spent much of her time with her beloved grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling to Hawaii and Europe. She enjoyed long motorcycle rides with her husband before he passed in 2001 and was an active member in the former Church of the Nazarene in Portage. In her teenage years, she developed an artistic eye and enjoyed drawing and creating artwork. Friends received 4 - 8 p.m. Thursday at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday. Committal in Mount Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Aseracare Hospice, an Amedisys Company, 100 CTC Drive, Suite 110, Johnstown, PA 15904.
