Delores "Gerri" Klein

Klein, Delores "Gerri", 89, Latrobe, formerly of Portage, passed away Friday, July 26, 2019. Born December 17, 1929 in Portage, the daughter of Steve and Julia (Spinner) Lengel. Deceased family members include her parents, husband John Andrew Klein, daughter Jackie Shultz, and sisters Mary (Tudy) Reichard, Lois Burica, and Julia (Toodles) Ribblet. Survived by children, Toni Maiolo, Pittsburgh; John (Gina) Klein Jr., Greensburg, and Kim Klein, Latrobe; grandchildren, Danielle and Stephen Maiolo;  and Jonathan and Sara Klein; and great-grandaughter Carson Bacco. Sister of William Lengel, Eugene (Duke) Lengel, Stephen Lengel Jr., and Linda McElwain. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Delores worked for the Altoona-Johnstown Diocese for many years, and formerly worked for Stager's and Greczek's Stores. She enjoyed gardening and bowling. She was a member of the Portage Rifle Club and enjoyed Sunday trap shooting with her husband.  She welcomed everyone into her home and always had a pot of coffee on, no matter what the time. At Gerri's request there will be no viewing or visitation but friends will be received from 10am - 12pm Thursday, at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage where Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon.
