Cheryl (Clawson) Thomas

Thomas, Cheryl (Clawson), 77, Ebensburg, formerly of Portage, passed away July 25, 2024 at Maple Heights Health & Rehab Center, Ebensburg. Born February 17, 1947 in Ebensburg, the daughter of William and Frances (Wharton) Clawson. Deceased family members include her parents and husband, Allan Thomas. Survived by brothers, Bill (Sharon) Clawson and Mike (Mary) Clawson, close friend Don, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a nurse at the former Lee Hospital. She enjoyed baking, cooking and she shared her foods with everyone. She also enjoyed cross stitch and needle point and she entered many of her items in the county fair. The family thanks the staff at Maple Heights and Graine Hospice for their kind and compassionate care. Friends will be received from 10 a.m., until time of funeral services at 11 a.m., Monday at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage, with Father Tom Stabile, T.O.R., officiating.
