Carol L. (Coutts) Pauley

PAULEY- Carol, L., (Coutts) 77, of Portage went to be with her Lord after a two-month battle with terminal cancer, at UPMC Altoona Palliative Care Unit with loved ones by her side. She was born June 16, 1943, to George Sr. and Dorothy (Gindlesperger) Coutts in Johnstown, PA. Preceded in death by parents, infant son Ellsworth, sisters, Barbara Hoffman and Peggy Poling, and brother George Coutts. Survived by loving husband of 59 years, Ellsworth Pauley whom she married on May 13, 1961, daughter, Debbie, married to Kevin Brydon, South Fork; son, Douglas, married to Loriann (Little), Schellsburg; daughter, Diana, married to Morgan Elmore, Terra Haute, IN. She will sadly missed by grandchildren Troy Pauley, Alexis (Tim) Bartholomew, Tyler Lysinger, RJ Brydon, Jeane (Kaleb) Mock, Zachary (Teasha) Brydon, Kelsey (Alicia) Elston, and great-grandchildren, Peyton Moss, Jackson Mock, Charity Bartholomew, and Bowen Brydon. Siblings Doris Wright, Lancaster, Richard (Shirley) Coutts, Gettysburg, Robert (Denise) Coutts, South Fork and Gary Coutts, Johnstown. Carol loved spending time with her family to whom she gave unconditional love and support, she was a member of the First Lutheran Church Portage, and an avid reader. Carol enjoyed monthly lunches with the “gym girls” weekly painting dates with Barb and Becky and weekly meeting with her TOPS friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends will be received from 2 p.m.-6 p.m. Sunday at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage. Funeral Service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Serenko-Claar with Associate Pastor Christian Coutts officiating. Interment South Fork Cemetery.
