Carmella S. (Smith) Vickroy

Vickroy, Carmella S., (Smith), 60, of Portage, passed away, December 31, 2023 at home. Born January 26, 1963 in Huntingdon, the daughter of Don and Mary (McCartney) Smith. Deceased family members include her parents and brother, John. Survived by loving husband of 33 years, Karl D. Vickroy, Jr.; children, Nicole (Mike) Benson; Cecile Fuller; Karl (Janice) Vikroy III, and Zachary Vickroy; She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Ethan, Hannah, Jacob, Carmella, Xsavior, Kamary, Michael, Brittany, Devin, Kaci, Karl IV, Gregor, Leo, and Daniel; and several great-grandchildren. Sister of, Jim (Trudy) Smith, Brian (Cindy) Smith, Donna (Clay) Holland, Cheyanne Smith, and Jason Bailey. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. She attended Vo-Tech for Food Service, became a certified butcher for Giant Markets, and was employed as head cook at Sassy Sisters restaurant. She became an ordained minister and was in charge of Adult Sunday School and Childrens church at Hammers Street Church of God. She enjoyed Arts and Crafts, pool picnics at the house, volunteered her time at the Summerfest and Winterfest, and played the role of Mrs. Claus in the Rotary Parade. Friends received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage. Friends also received at the Hammers Street Church of God, from 10-11 a.m. Friday, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Pastor Tracy Blystone, officiating. Committal will be in Mt.
