Scoran Bernadine A. Scoran, 87, Portage, passed away peacefully December 10, 2025 at Memorial Medical Center. Born June 3, 1938 in Johnstown, the daughter of John and Pearl (Dubis) Starchville. Deceased family members include her parents; husband Ralph Scoran, Sr; sons, Christopher and Ralph Scoran, Jr.; sisters, Anna, Regina Wetklow, Florence Mihalosky, Josephine Yogus, Twin sister Bernadette Hmiel; brother Stanley and Thomas Starchville. Survived by children, Annette, wife of Rick Shaffer; Joseph Scoran married to the former Pam Oravecz; Catherine, wife of Brian Swope, all of Portage; grandchildren, Ryan (Brielle), Tyler (Kaylee), Troy (Justine), Abby (Paul), Chad, and Ian; and three great-grandchildren. Fur babies, Tashi, Rosa, and Lewis; and fur granddog, Cash. She enjoyed, word searches, watching the Pirates and Penguins, and sitting outside watching the birds. The family wishes to thank the Doctors and Nurses at the Intensive Care Unit of Conemaugh Hospital for the exceptional Care provided. At the request of Bernadine, all services will be private.
