Arthur Gaunt, Jr.

Gaunt, Jr., Arthur, 79, of Sidman, passed away April 27, 2019 at  St. Judes Heaven. Born April 30, 1939 in Windber, the son of Arthur and Adehlia (Bastine) Gaunt.  Deceased family members include his parents; wife Marjorie A. (Sale) Gaunt, and numerous brothers and sisters.  Survived by children, Arthur Gaunt III, Sidman; Marjorie Loggins, GA; Richard A. Gaunt, and wife Sherry, Sidman; Edward Gaunt, wife Marjorie, Sidman; and Donald Gaunt, Homer City; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also survived by brother Henry (Caroline) Gaunt and sister in laws Susan and Bernice Gaunt.He retired from Bethlehem Steel in 1992, and was a member of the Fire Police in St. Michael for 20 years. The family would like to thank Windber Hospice for their compassionate care and a special thanks to St. Judes Haven for their kindness and care for Arthur. Friends received from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Pastor Dan Hammond, officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery, Summerhill Twp.
