Alberta (Gorba) Lazere

Lazere, Alberta, 81, Cassandra, passed away February 23, 2020 at Memorial Medical Center. Born August 13, 1938 in Shoemaker,  the daughter of William and Kathryn (Malik) Gorba-Politsky. Deceased family members include her parents, husband, Donald M. Lazere, sister Martha Franey and brothers-in-law Don Franey, Allen Nickol, William Shields and Bob Spies. Survived by daughter Karen Lazere and partner Anthony Moyer, sisters Dorothy Shields, Barbara (Walter) Latoche, and Joann Nickol; brothers William (Sue) Gorba and Robert (Sue) Gorba. Also survived by in-laws Betty Lazere, Rose Lazere, Ken (Lynn) Lazere and Margaret (Bob) Gill and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a former aide at the Ebensburg Center. Friends received from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Parish, Caldwell Ave., Portage. Fr. Tom Stabile, TOR celebrant. Committal in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
