Hazlett, William L. Sr., "Bud", 88, Portage passed away February 13, 2019 at Memorial Medical Center. Born February 21, 1930 in Portage, the son of Kenneth and Grace (Stombaugh) Hazlett. Deceased family members include his parents; son, William Jr., grandson, Ben, great-granddaughter Alexis and grandson in law Monte Walter. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Shirley (Pauley) Hazlett, children: Richard (Kathy) Hazlett, and Terri (Dann) Crum; both of Portage. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Shannon, Jennie, Richard, Michael, Justin, Stacy, Lisa and Amy and great-grandchildren Madison, Carlie, Saige, Elias, Aela, Simon and Jameson. He is the brother of Donald (Mary Ann) Hazlett of Portage. He is also survived by special niece Karen Pohopin. He was a retired machinist and supervisor for Bethlehem Steel with 37 years service. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of Post 430 American Legion. He was a member of the Portage Area Sportsmen's and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a brother Mason at the Summit Lodge #312 for over 50 years. He was also a member of the Altoona Consistory. Mostly, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends received from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage. Friends also received from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Lutheran Church, Portage where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Pastor Phyllis Diamond, officiating. Military funeral rites by Portage Ritual Team. Committal will be at Mount Moriah Cemetery, Blue Knob
