Virginia M. "Gini" (Tishner) Helsel

Helsel, Virginia M. "Gini", 98, of Portage, passed to the Lords hands and joined her sisters, brother, mother and father on January 6, 2019 at Memorial Medical Center.  Born in Portage, on December 23, 1920, the daughter of Michael and Theresa Tishner. Survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Francis; Jeff, her son and granddaughters, Lizzie, and Maggie.  She will be sadly missed by her niece, Sandy Wisbey.  She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and longtime member of the Kitchen Crew at the former St. Joseph's church. Friends received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday at Holy Family Parish, Caldwell Ave, Portage, Father Thomas Stabile, TOR, celebrant.  Committal will be in St. Bartholomew  Cemetery, Wilmore.
